Rate Options

The Prinz Law Office is committed to “out of the box” thinking for how we do business with our clients.  In keeping with that commitment, we have adopted a number of payment options, which we currently make available to clients:

  1. Standard Hourly Rates:  Clients may choose to work with us on a standard hourly rate basis, where we ask for an up-front retainer, and then bill to that retainer.  Once the initial retainer has been depleted, you will then be billed on a bimonthly basis for services.  This represents a “traditional” attorney-client working relationship. 
  2. Evergreen Billing Rates: Clients may choose to work with us on an “evergreen” basis in order to receive a discount, where we ask that you maintain a small retainer at all times and you add to that retainer every time you request work in an amount sufficient to cover the work anticipated.
  3. Fixed Billing Rates:  Clients may choose to work with us on specific defined projects on a fixed-rate basis.
  4. Monthly Retainers:  Clients may choose to work with us on an ongoing monthly retainer basis.  Clients receive a discount based on the length of the retainer period they select.  We currently offer 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, and 36 month retainer periods.  This plan is designed to assist clients who intend to have long-term relationships with the firm obtain legal services at a more affordable rate based upon their anticipated legal needs.
  5. Block of Hours Billing: Clients may choose to purchase a block of hours at a discounted rate.  We will bill to those blocks of hours, and the client may elect to replenish the hours when they have been depleted.
  6. Start-Up Payment Plans:  Clients who are start-ups and meet certain terms and conditions may choose to pay a small up-front fee and have the balance of their legal bill broken up into monthly installments over a period of 6, 12, 18, or 24 months.  This plan is designed for start-ups who have been affected by the credit crunch and have limited capital to start their businesses with.
