Benefits of Flat Fee Legal Services

The Prinz Law Office makes available flat fee legal services to clients who are uncomfortable with hourly rate billing, are uncertain about the nature of their legal needs, and/or want total flexibility in their legal relationship with outside counsel.

How Do Flat Fee Services Work?

The firm’s flat fee service offerings provide the same high level of service available to our hourly clients but on a flat fee basis.  On our flat fee service plans, clients have total flexibility in decision-making about the nature and scope of the legal services to be provided.

Clients working on a flat fee basis “order” from a flat fee, à la carte “menu” of legal services, without ever having to worry about the hours they are incurring with outside counsel.  Projects are broken down into individual tasks that will each be assigned a flat fee that can be calculated before the service is performed.

The firm continues to add to our flat-fee service offerings as we determine new flat fees are required.

Please keep in mind when contemplating flat fee work that flat fees may not have any correlation to actual hourly time incurred on a particular project: they are pre-set without any consideration of a client’s actual needs.  Also, most projects cannot proceed without communication with a client, so emails and meetings will be a necessary part of performing any client services, even if they are separately billed.

Flat Fee Special Virtual Office Hours Meeting (20 minutes)

Are you an entrepreneur or founder with a legal question? A consultant or employee? This special virtual hours appointment is designed for you to get your question answered. These appointments with an attorney are made available on a very limited basis during very limited hours.

Flat Fee Live Contract Review 30 min.

An on-demand, live video contract review with a firm attorney during our regular business day. The contract review will take place entirely during our video session and will not exceed 1/2 hour. There is no limit on the number of pages of the contract to be reviewed. The attorney will not do any reading or other preparation prior to the meeting.

Flat Fee Trademark Registration (Name)

Prepare trademark registration on a name in a single class.  Each additional class is $200.  Fees exclude clearance searches, fees payable to the USPTO, meetings with the client, responses to emails initiated by client, subsequent revisions to application, any necessary resubmission of the application originally submitted,  calls with the examiner, and subsequent office action responses.

Flat Fee Copyright Registration

File a copyright registration on a single work.  Excludes fees payable to Copyright Office, any meetings with the Copyright Office or the client, any subsequently required resubmissions of a new registration for any reason.

Flat Fee Contract Review + Revise

Contract review + revisions. Includes first three pages only. Any pages beyond the three-page limit may be added at $325 per page.

Flat Fee Trademark Registration (Design)
